Hays, KS (March 31, 2026) — The Hays Bass Anglers Association is excited to announce the HBAA Team Trail Series for 2026 with the first event just under a month away. Anglers can download the entry forms here – Download HBAA Team Trail Entry Form. Entry fees will remain at $150 per tournament. A big bass pot will be optional at $10 per tournament and will again have the optional side pot entry of $100 per tournament. Full rules are available here – Download HBAA Team Trail Rules

In addition a Team Trail fee of $20 per angler will be charged to each angler only for the first tournament fished with 100% of that money to be paid out during the championship tournament event.

“This year we are excited to announce we will host our own club championship for the top 10 teams” said Clayton Rudman, HBAA tournament director. 

HBAA wants thank Marine Specialty of Wilson, a major sponsor of the 2026 HBAA Team Trail Series.

To qualify for the championship a team must fish at least four of the six tournaments with the top 10 teams in points earning their qualifying spot in the championship event. For the top 10 teams, the entry fee is $100. But that is not the only way to fish the championship tournament. A second chance option is open to any team who finished outside the top 10, if they fished a minimum of 4 tournaments. Second chance teams can still fish the championship at a cost of $200. With the added team trail fees being placed into the championship pot, this tournament will have a payback of over 100%.

Team Trail 1 & 2 – April 18/19 at Cedar Bluff Reservoir

Team Trail 3 & 4 – May 2/3 at Lake Wilson

Team Trail 5 – June 13 at Milford Reservoir

Team Trail 6 – July 11 at Lake Wilson

Team Trail Championship – October 3rd location TBA
